Job Summary:
QTS Data Centers is a leader in digital infrastructure, committed to connecting the globe for good. As a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Hyperscale sales team, you will be the primary technical resource for sales and operations, providing technical solutions and answering customer inquiries while collaborating with internal teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design complex hosting solutions and corresponding services, working with sales personnel in response to customer needs with minimal supervision.
โ€ข Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations.
โ€ข Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
โ€ข Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team.
โ€ข Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Four or more years of experience in Sales Engineering, preferably focused on managed services and custom designed solutions or applicable customer facing experience
โ€ข Two or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience
โ€ข Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
โ€ข Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives)
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in hyperscale colocation design is preferred
