Description
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES
1. Evaluate existing processes and equipment to improve worker safety, product quality, yields, and increase throughput.
2. Specify and procure new capital equipment for manufacturing processes. Work with manufacturing engineering and maintenance to effectively transition equipment from development and project build stage to full production stage.
3. Design and develop new manufacturing equipment and processes to meet the needs of new product requirements.
4. Support manufacturing and maintenance teams by helping to solve production issues and problems as they arise on the plant floor.
5. Design, specify, and procure tooling as required for product development projects.
6. Collaborate with product design engineering department to make incremental improvements to existing products.
7. Work with maintenance project coordinator to facilitate proper equipment preventative maintenance.
8. Work with the manufacturing team to make sure proper procedures and instructions are followed.
9. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, able to work independently. Open-minded and team-oriented personality with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Must be able to work with minimum supervision, meet time sensitive deadlines, keep accurate records, work in a collaborative environment.
