United Graphics (UG) Production Assistant
Position Summary
The Production Assistant supports daily digital print production operations by preparing garments, creating and modifying customer artwork, operating direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) printing equipment and assisting with order fulfillment. This position is responsible for preparing print ready artwork, setting up print jobs, pretreating garments, operating and maintaining printing equipment, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring products meet company quality standards. The Production Assistant works closely with the Production Lead to maintain efficient workflow, accurate production schedules, and a clean, organized production environment while supporting the timely completion of customer orders.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate DTG and DTF printing equipment in accordance with company procedures and job requirements.
  • Create, modify, and prepare customer artwork for production using graphic design software, ensuring files meet printing specifications and customer requirements.
  • Make minor modifications to customer artwork, including resizing, color adjustments, and file preparation to ensure compatibility with DTG and DTF printing processes.
  • Prepare garments for production, including pretreating, drying, and staging products for printing.
  • Review work orders and verify product, artwork, and order details prior to production.
  • Print, cure, and process products while maintaining established quality, color, and production standards.
  • Pick, label, and prepare products for order fulfillment and production processing.
  • Monitor print supply and garment inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Production Lead.
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on printing equipment.
  • Assist in coordinating equipment repairs and service needs with the Production Lead and equipment manufacturers..
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper waste disposal within the production area.
  • Complete required work order documentation throughout the production process.

Education, Experience, and Additional Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have normal color vision (trichr0mats).
  • Experience with production processes and meeting production deadlines.
  • Experience with digital printing systems (DTG and/or DTF preferred) or similar production equipment is a plus but not required.
  • Experience using graphic design software to modify customer artwork preferred.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
