Full Time Production Assistants are entry-level professionals who support the production process in various industries such as film, television, theater, or live events. Their responsibilities typically include assisting with set preparation, managing equipment, running errands, coordinating with crew members, and handling administrative tasks. Working full time means they are employed on a regular, ongoing basis rather than just for specific projects or short periods. Production Assistants play a crucial role in ensuring that productions run smoothly and efficiently. The role often serves as a stepping stone to more advanced positions within the industry.

What are the typical responsibilities of a full time production assistant during a live production day?

As a Full Time Production Assistant, your daily tasks often include setting up equipment, preparing locations, coordinating talent and crew, and managing logistics like paperwork and schedules. During live production, you may be responsible for cueing talent, delivering scripts or props, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. The role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to last-minute changes or challenges, all while supporting the team to keep production running efficiently.
