Job description

EnglishConnect is a program provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to help individuals improve their English skills in an environment of faith, fellowship, and growth. We strive to provide accessible and effective English language education that empowers learners to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations & Project Management Intern to join the EnglishConnect team starting in July 2026, for a 3-month full-time internship. This individual will play a key role in managing projects, supporting and improving operational processes, and team management across multiple initiatives.  

This position will help oversee project timelines, monitor progress, communicate updates to leadership, support domestic team collaboration, and coordinate the management of international contractors. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, proactive, and interested in business operations, project management, personnel coordination, and process improvement. 

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in project management, operations coordination, team leadership, AI driven tools, and cross-functional collaboration -all within a global, faith-based educational initiative.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must reside in Utah and be able to attend occasional in-person meetings in Salt Lake City.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Current student or recent graduate (within 12 months) in a Business-related field of study (e.g., Business Management, Administration, Experience Design & Management, Strategy, Organizational Leadership, Operations, etc.)

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow through on tasks, and maintain attention to detail.

  • Comfortable learning and using technology and software tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Manage Projects: Coordinate assigned projects by tracking timelines, deliverables, and progress to help ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and aligned with objectives.

  • Coordinate Undergraduate Positions: Help oversee domestic student employees and international contractors by supporting communication, accountability, and task coordination.

  • Maintain Operational Systems: Organize project documentation, schedules, and team workflows using tools such as Wrike, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.

  • Evaluate Processes: Assess team workflows and operational processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and organization.

  • Develop Process Improvements: Collaborate with team members to propose and implement solutions that improve workflows, communication, and team effectiveness.

  • Brainstorm Solutions: Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions that improve learning experiences, team operations, and the overall program experience.

  • Test and Implement Initiatives: Participate in testing and launching new tools, systems, and operational initiatives while providing feedback and recommendations.

"This part-time position typically works (Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position is a hybrid position.
