EHR Specialist II Schedule: Full Time Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 / Hourly Shift: Day shift Hours: 7:30-4 About this role Make an Impact Behind the Scenes of Patient Care Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about healthcare operations? Join our Health Information Management team as an EHR Specialist II, where your work directly supports patient care, regulatory compliance, and the integrity of the medical record. In this role, you'll help ensure critical health information is accurately prepared, scanned, indexed, and maintained within the OnBase electronic document management system.

You'll collaborate with clinical and administrative teams while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment that values accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do Prepare, scan, retrieve, batch, and accurately index medical records into the OnBase electronic document management system Verify patient identification, barcodes, and document accuracy to ensure record integrity Maintain timely and compliant processing of health records to support patient care, legal, audit, and regulatory requirements Review and organize documentation according to established health information management standards Work with electronic health record systems and department workflows to maintain data quality and completeness Support quality assurance initiatives and respond to feedback from auditors and internal stakeholders Collaborate effectively with medical staff, clinical departments, and administrative teams Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, federal/state regulations, and organizational policies What We're Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one (1) year of general office experience, preferably within a medical records, healthcare, or clinical setting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in an AHIMA-approved Health Information Technology program RHIT certification preferred Previous experience with 3M Encoder, Meditech, and/or electronic document management systems Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, and health record documentation standards Key Skills & Knowledge Electronic Health Records (EHR) and document management systems Medical records scanning and indexing Health information management and data integrity HIPAA compliance and patient privacy standards Knowledge of JCAHO requirements and federal/state healthcare regulations Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion Why Join Us?
