Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Nutrition Informatics Registered Dietitian who will support the Hackensack Meridian Health Network (HMH) in NJ.  This position plays a key role in the deployment and maintenance of our menu management application system (Healthtouch) and its integration with Epic electronic health record. The selected candidate will support 11 hospitals across the system in Central and Northern NJ.  This is not a virtual position, although a flexible schedule and limited remote work are offered. 

Experience with Healthtouch or similar patient dining applications is required.   

What You'll Do
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and interface testing of Healthtouch applications in preparation for Go Live at HMH
  • Align hospitals within the HMH system to have standardized protocols, therapeutic diets, and procurement
  • Deploy and follow up to capture post-implementation outcomes and ensure smooth operation of the application
  • Be a resource for hospital IT departments to communicate technical requirements of the computerized applications  
  • Work closely with third party vendor partners as well as external customers and clients
  • Ensure continuity and accuracy of menu data entry to meet operational, nutritional, and regulatory requirements  
  • Conduct data analysis reporting to include tray metrics, item usage, and patient satisfaction
  • Develop and implement projects to support the Healthtouch system with Performance Improvement

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision  

Minimum Functional Experience:  3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty
