Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a 0.8 FTE Elementary Music teacher at Lewis-Palmer Elementary School beginning with the 2026-27 school year. Must have or be eligible to receive a Colorado Teaching license with a music endorsement. Must be able to facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity; design and develop high quality music lessons, and manage the day to day fun of music classes; collaborate with students, colleagues, and school community; promote and model partnerships with families and responsibility to our Responsive Classroom culture. The start date for new teachers is July 31, 2026.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279.

All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include additional options. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law for all eligible positions.
