Description
This is a full-time in-office position at our 8622 N Himes Ave office in Tampa, Florida. The Mortgage Underwriting Assistant supports the underwriting team by reviewing, preparing, and organizing loan files to ensure they are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies, investor guidelines, and applicable industry regulations.
Responsibilities
• Gather and verify loan documents
• Ensure loan file accuracy and completeness
• Prepare files for underwriting
• Resolve outstanding conditions with team members
• Maintain regulatory and company compliance
Qualifications
• Previous experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, or processing
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with mortgage software systems and Microsoft Office Suite
