Job description

Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS®) is seeking a C# Software Developer to join our mortgage technology team. You'll own the full SDLC—from discovery and requirements capture through solution design, development, QA, and production deployment—for our LoanWare® product suite serving the residential and commercial mortgage industry.

You'll collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and engineering leadership to translate business needs into well-architected, maintainable software.

What You'll Do
  • Requirements & Discovery – Partner with business analysts and domain experts to elicit, refine, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Solution & Data Design – Contribute to application architecture, service/API design, and database schema design (T-SQL).
  • Build & Deliver – Design and develop application features in C# / .NET, write unit and integration tests, and support deployment to production.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Align with product, QA, and operations stakeholders throughout design, sprint, release, and post-release review cycles.
Required Tech Stack Requirements
  • Language / Runtime: C# with 3+ years of production experience
  • Framework: .NET (Framework / Core)
  • Data: Strong SQL - query writing, schema design, stored procedures
  • Data Formats: XML (authoring, parsing, schema validation)
  • Architecture: Service-Oriented Architecture / API-first development
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
  • WCF service development
  • WPF desktop application development
  • ASP.NET MVC / Core Web API

Bonus: Experience with the mortgage or financial-services domain.

Key Competencies
  • Clear written and verbal communication—comfortable presenting to executives, managers, and subject-matter experts
  • Structured, detail-oriented approach to planning and prioritization
  • Analytical problem-solving with a bias for root-cause analysis
  • Self-directed work ethic with the ability to collaborate in a team setting
Application Note

Minimum: 3+ years of hands‑on C# .NET development and SQL database design. WPF experience is a strong plus. Candidates should include examples of service‑oriented or API‑driven projects they've contributed to.
