Job description

Description Responsible for assisting with the operation and support of Core Systems, such as Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, Exchange, M365 Administration, On-Premises Microsoft Server platforms, and other Core Systems. Performs common daily tasks, including monitoring/responding to ticketing requests, responding to system alerts, processing access control requests, new user creation, documentation with or without the direction of senior team members, and other routine work as directed by the Core Systems supervisor. This is a journey-level position that works within a team supporting the administration of multiple systems including regular after-hour and weekend support to ensure 24/7/365 availability in a 99.999% uptime environment

This position has limited decision-making responsibility and completes routine tasks independently using established system administration techniques. Work products are subject to review and approval by more senior server administrators, supervisors, or managers. WASHINGTON STATE RESIDENCY AND TELEWORK INFORMATION AOC requires employees to reside in Washington State. Any exceptions must be approved. If you are invited to interview and currently reside outside of Washington State, seek more information about residency requirements from the AOC hiring manager of this recruitment.

This position requires at least two (2) days per week working onsite at AOC facilities Duties Support daily operations including monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, capacity management, provisioning, hardware and software configuration, patching, upgrades, performance monitoring, tuning, and resolving incidents within Service Level Agreements. Regularly seek out and evaluate security risks. Evaluate software products for accuracy, business impact, and potential problems to ensure the best product is used for AOC business needs.

Create and manage virtual machines under guidance from senior team members. Create and manage Active Directory resources under guidance from senior team members. Create, modify, and/or support SharePoint sites and Team groups.

Assist with monthly patching of on-premises VMs. Create, modify, and/or delete Mailboxes. Administer file share access requests, under guidance from senior team members.

Assist with maintenance and daily operation for diverse enterprise messaging systems, such as Exchange, Teams, ListServ, etc. Continuously develop own knowledge of AOC Infrastructure through collaboration and self-driven research. Assist various teams with administration of various COTS applications.

Perform basic troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure reliability of common applications/services. Learn and utilize support products to minimize negative business impact and provide the highest level of productivity. Assist in creating processes and/or documentation that targets varying audiences.

Performs other work as assigned. Qualifications Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis. A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or closely allied field, AND: Four (4) years of experience in a complex information technology environment to include at least two of the following: Three (3) years of experience workingspecificallyintheareaof Windows Active Directory Administration.

Three (3) years of experience working specifically with device management software, such as Intune. Three (3) years of experience working specifically in the area of M365 administration. One or more widely recognized certifications, such as: CompTIA A+.

THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL ALSO HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Possess working knowledge of key system utilities and applications, such as the ones below: Active Directory and/or Entra ID Group Policy and/or other policy governing tools Microsoft Operating Systems, such as Server2019 or higher Microsoft Office 365 End Point Central, Intune, and/or other device management software Print Server administration Working knowledge of File Server administration Working knowledge of common Exchange related tasks, such as: User and Shared Mailbox creation/modification Distribution List creation/modification Working knowledge of VMWare administration or similar virtualization platforms Able to prioritize workload, with assistance from supervisor as needed Skilled in independently learning new software and concepts Ability to think critically in decision-making and problem-solving situations Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Proficient in utilizing Microsoft365 products, including Teams, Outlook, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, and others Ability to create written materials and presentations under guidance from senior team members Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with peers to enhance and encourage collaboration on work products Supplemental Information HOW TO APPLY For more information about the position, to review the job description, application submission requirements, supplemental questions, inquire about benefits, or to apply for the position: CLICK HERE TO APPLY IMPORTANT INFORMATION The workweek may fluctuate depending on workload or agency needs.
