Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDescription: TGTG is seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst to support healthcare system operations through data analysis, EHR optimization, and workflow improvement. This role bridges clinical, operational, and technical teams to enhance system performance and support decision-making.
This role sits at the intersection of clinical care, data, and technology, working closely with stakeholders to develop best practices, improve workflows, optimize EHR systems, and deliver actionable insights.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in clinical informatics, EHR systems, or healthcare analytics who is looking to grow into more strategic, high-impact work with high visibility stakeholders and opportunities to present and influence decisions.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and clinical requirements for healthcare systems and informatics initiatives
  • Evaluate clinical and operational workflows to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including health systems, EHR vendors (e.g., Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health), academic medical centers and research institutions, health payers, federal and state Veterans Affairs agencies, and standards bodies/interoperability partners, and program stakeholders, to support optimization, analysis or enhancement efforts
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess program effectiveness, information modeling and performance
  • Assist in the design and documentation of system interfaces, data workflows, and interoperability architecture
  • Support compliance with federal healthcare data standards and initiatives related to interoperability and health information exchange
  • Develop and deliver presentations, and recommendations to clinical and administrative stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff, IT teams, and leadership
  • Support informatics and process improvement initiatives across healthcare programs
Required Skills & ExperienceQualifications:
  • 8-10 years of experience supporting healthcare IT systems or health information management in one or more of the following:
    • Clinical informatics
    • Healthcare IT / EHR systems
    • Healthcare analytics or operations
  • Experience with requirements gathering, use case and workflow analysis, and process documentation required to support the development of clinical informatics software or other clinical informatics project activities.
  • Knowledge in how to plan, analyze, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of operating programs and business processes using qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively manipulate data to clearly present program status and insights to stakeholders, including recommendations on improving business processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work across clinical and technical teams; ability to present to executive-level stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner/Oracle Health, etc.
  • Experience working in a large healthcare system or government healthcare environment (familiarity with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs systems is a plus)
  • Clinical background (e.g., nursing, allied health) OR equivalent healthcare IT/informatics experience
  • Experience supporting or leading informatics, EHR, or operational improvement initiatives
Formal Education:
  • Master's degree required
