Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Traveling Medical Scribe to join our team. This paid position offers the opportunity to work alongside our healthcare provider across various medical settings, capturing accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation in real-time. As a Traveling Medical Scribe, you will play a vital role in supporting physicians by ensuring precise record-keeping, allowing them to focus on delivering quality patient care.

Duties

  • Observe patient encounters and accurately transcribe detailed medical information into Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems in real-time
  • Document patient histories, physical examinations, procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans with precision and clarity
  • Assist healthcare provider by managing medical records and ensuring all documentation complies with legal and organizational standards
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively to record complex clinical details related to physiology, anatomy, and emergency room procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information while efficiently updating medical documentation during clinical visits
  • Support the clinical team by verifying and organizing medical records and ensuring accurate data entry through fast and precise typing skills
  • Adapt to various clinical environments, including emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, and specialty practices, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism

Experience

  • Proven experience in transcription within a medical setting or related healthcare environment
  • Prior medical office experience is highly desirable, especially in fast-paced or emergency room settings
  • Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for efficient documentation
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and human anatomy to accurately capture complex clinical details
