Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Public Relations Representative to provide project management, operations, and communications strategy support for our Space Sector communications team. You will partner with communications and functional colleagues on high-impact, sector-wide initiatives including sector-wide reporting, data dashboards, team training, and process improvements. As part of the strategy team, you will also support the strategic communications planning for at least one key sector priority. Experience in communications project management is required.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving efficiencies, highly organized, and energized by process, operations and disciplined execution. You should enjoy learning and championing new tools, translating complex topics into clear, engaging content, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

This full-time position reports to the Manager of Communications Strategy and Operations within the Space Communications team and is based in McLean, VA, Redondo Beach, CA, Linthicum, MD, or Dulles, VA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, document, and maintain team processes, workflows, and standards to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Coordinate logistics for team events, including training, workshops, and all hands meetings (e.g., agendas, materials, run of show).
  • Manage the team's SharePoint site structure, permissions, and content, including creating and maintaining pages, libraries, and shared resources that support team collaboration and knowledge management.
  • Leverage SharePoint and other digital tools to streamline workflows and communications operations, including templates, forms, dashboards, and collaboration solutions across the sector.
  • Drive measurement and reporting of communications performance, including data dashboards and internal project reports.
  • Lead development of core messaging for at least one sector priority area, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Space Systems and enterprise narratives.
  • Coordinate with channel owners to execute omni-channel campaigns across appropriate internal and external platforms.
  • Coordinate social media content by aligning with channel owners, maintaining awareness of the content calendar, and ensuring posts reflect sector priorities and enterprise narratives.
  • Assist with project management of special communications initiatives and other ad hoc projects, including defining timelines and deliverables, coordinating stakeholders, and tracking progress to ensure on time, high quality execution.
  • Partner across teams to maintain and update sector wide resources, including an integrated calendar, content library, and storytelling material.
  • Contribute to a positive, high performing team culture by bringing curiosity, follow through, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience managing data-driven communications projects with strong judgement, agility, and ability to drive consensus across teams.
  • Experience with collaboration tools and data analytics reporting and measurement.
  • Experience with integrated communications strategy within complex organizations.
  • Excellent project management, collaboration, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business or other liberal arts field, and experience in communications, media, marketing, and/or public relations, with a minimum 3-5 years of communications experience in an enterprise organization. -OR- Master's degree and experience in communications, media, marketing, and/or public relations with a minimum of 1-3 years of communications experience in an enterprise organization.
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance at the tie of application.

PREFERRED Qualifications

  • Aerospace and defense industry experience, and familiarity with DoD and global government customers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
