Job description

Overview

This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations. IND123

Responsibilities
  • This position is expected to assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck and barge.ย 
  • Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Assists in basic maintenance activities.
  • Compliance with all the Company's safety programs and policies.ย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired.
  • 0-1 year of experience.
Skills
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
  • Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment.
Physical Requirments
  • Regularly walk, bend and stoop.
  • Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Regularly climbs stairs and ladders.
  • Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly enters and works in confined spaces.
