Logistics Manager
Regular Full-Time
Killeen, TX

This position is responsible for:

  • Managing over 1,800 pieces of equipment of vehicles
  • Validating asset availability while planning military tests, and ensuring it is in the right place at the right time once test plans are approved
  • Managing team (e.g., buyer, shipping/receiving clerk, warehouse specialists) that may be onsite and/or at other bases

Duties:

  • Directs the overall operations, maintenance, repair, administration and logistics of base operations at Ft. Hood and Ft. Bragg
  • Supports testing operations at additional sites (e.g., Ft. Hauchuca, Ft. Sill)
  • Reviews task order requests and supports preparation of technical and cost proposals for the customer testing exercises
  • Manages the execution of tasks within proposed budgets and schedules, under the supervision of the local VETS Program Manager
  • Oversees vendor and subcontractors ensuring quality control and compliance to requirements
  • Tracks and manages utilization of asset management software
  • Maintains inventory and produces reports of the government provided assets
  • Ensures customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and other regulatory and contractual requirements
  • Verifies team member performance goals are met and validates that all required certification and training are maintained, including developing and maintaining crew member training plans for each position held under supervision
  • Work with the management team and technical staff to analyze program risks and performance for management and stakeholders

Required Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in logistics operations management

Knowledgeable of and able to work in variety of automated systems, processes and procedures, and database formats to include Global Combat Support Systems โ€“ Army (GCSS-Army)

Education/Certifications:

Bachelors Degree

Currently hold Top Secret Clearanceย 

Knowledge and Skills:

Managing Government Property and Inventory, including vehicles in motor pool

Deploying and tracking assets used in military test exercises
