SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor?is responsible for?leading, supporting, and directing the receiving, shipping, and material handling operations at Grilloโ€™s Midwest manufacturing facilities. Other duties include?demonstrating?the ability to perform analytical thinking to solve complex situations while ensuring efficient shipping of products and?timely?delivery of all customer orders.?

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain warehouse operations by supporting,?coordinating,?and enforcing programs,?policies?and procedures to ensure product availability and excellent customer service. Support and ensure compliance with all employee quality programs including HACCP and SQF requirements, continuous improvement?initiatives?and food safety programs.?

  • Coordinate the outbound shipping schedule and allocation to storage facilities and customers;?maintain?and support working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as supply chain, production schedulers, and the transportation team.?
  • Achieve operational?objectives?(meeting plant, departmental, quality, safety, productivity, customer service, and individual goals) by?identifying?obstacles, gathering information,?recognizing?and/or supporting?possible solutions,?developing,?and executing action plans, and reviewing execution to ensure sustained success.?
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by?establishing,?following,?and enforcing safety standards and procedures by conducting weekly safety meetings, audits, and entering work orders for any safety related items as needed.?
  • Support and aide the Warehouse Manager to meet financial?objectives?by forecasting requirements; and?assist?in preparing and managing an annual budget; analyzing variances;?initiating?corrective actions by evaluating and implementing initiatives to decrease costs while?maintaining/increasing service levels.?
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by developing processes for shipping and receiving, equipment, and storage?utilization?by analyzing process?workflow, labor, space requirements, and equipment layout.?
  • Aid?in the weekly warehouse cycle count of all?raw and?package materials reporting any shortage or overage of inventory to the Warehouse Manager as well as assist in root cause investigation for any variances.?
  • Train, staff and evaluate the performance of assigned employees; communicate job expectations,?responsibilities and assigned?workload.??
  • Review and?identify?talent to meet staffing needs by interviewing, hiring, and evaluating new shipping and receiving personnel.?

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.?
  • Minimum of two?yearsโ€™?manufacturing supervisory experience.?
  • Proven?track record?in people management:?overseeing?5-15?employees, managing performance, timecards, staffing, training,?etc.???
  • Shipping and receiving experience preferred?
  • NetSuite experience preferred?
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred?
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills?
  • Key leadership competencies in addition to Ethics/Values and Integrity/Trust, (Proactive, Directing Others, Priority Setting, Decision quality, Organizing, Process Management)?
  • Computer?proficiency?in Word, Excel, PowerPoint?

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, taste, or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 25 pounds, and occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance from co-workers and/or mechanical devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment, wet and refrigerated areas, and food ingredients. Position requires use of PPE, and frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting.
