Job description

Join our team as a Checker II and play a critical role in ensuring customers receive the right products every time. Monday-Friday

Start Time: 8:30 AM until work is completed

Overtime: As needed

Position Summary

The Checker II is responsible for verifying customer orders before shipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards. This role reviews product quantities, descriptions, pack sizes, and expiration dates while maintaining accurate documentation and following warehouse safety procedures.

Responsibilities

- Verify customer orders using pull sheets generated from the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

- Ensure products match the required quantities, pack sizes, descriptions, and product dates.

- Tag completed pallets to indicate they are ready for loading.

- Transfer product dates and required information to warehouse pull sheets.

- Obtain Market Manager approval before shipping short-dated products and notify the warehouse supervisor.

- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the order verification process.

- Assist with warehouse cleanliness and general housekeeping.

- Follow all company safety, food safety, and quality standards.

- Support warehouse operations as needed.

Qualifications

- 3 - 5 years of warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, order checking, or food distribution experience preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to verify product information, quantities, pack sizes, and expiration dates.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

- Dependable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.

- Ability to lift 10 - 25 pounds.

Work Environment

- Refrigerated warehouse environment (approximately 35°F).

- Fast-paced food distribution facility.

- Prolonged standing throughout the shift.

- Steel-toe boots are required.

- No warehouse equipment operation is required for this position.
