Overview

***This position is located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP***

Under supervision of the TMP Supervisor – GCSS Army Operator II oversees, directs, and leads daily operations of the Production Control and Work Orders Section. Serves as the centralized customer service focal point. Processes all work requests, to include after-hours calls, dispatches craftsmen to emergencies, and writes corrective maintenance (CM). Classifies work using the most current Government work classification system. Inspects, maintains, repairs, operates, and performs minor alternations efficiently and economically. Also leads the FMS vehicle fleet and associated tasks and makes vehicle work order assignments. Processes work requests, to include after-hours calls, dispatches craftsmen to emergencies, and writes corrective maintenance (CM) work orders. Classifies work using the most current Government work classification system. Processes all work requests within 24 hours after receipt to ensure a high level of customer service. Provide technical support to the Maintenance shops for service order level requests, preventative maintenance and project level requests. Provide complex analytics and statistical reports of resources utilized by the FMS Maintenance Management.


Responsibilities

  • Serves as the centralized customer service focal point.
  • Processes work requests, to include after-hours calls, dispatches craftsmen to emergencies, and writes corrective maintenance (CM) work orders.
  • Classifies work using the most current Government work classification system.
  • Processes work requests within 24 hours after receipt to ensure a high level of customer service.
  • Creates and submits reports (routine or ad-hoc) from the CMMS database (MAXIMO and/or GFEBS) as assigned.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers.
  • Creates and distributes Preventive Maintenance work orders.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
  • Processes all work requests within 24 hours of receipt to submit for approval.
  • Coordinates with LMD to ensure all information submitted is correct and accurate.
  • Cross reference parts data from Manufacturers OEM part numbers to GCSS Army and Maximo cataloged inventory

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: Two years related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Must provide a copy of the diploma.
    • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
    • Ability to meet required deadlines and maintain necessary workflow.
    • Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbally.
    • Must be able to effectively review and interpret data across multiple systems.
  • Preferred Qualification:
    • Undergraduate Degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of four (4) years of maintenance experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Production Control or an administrative environment.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in GFEBS/Maximo.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in GCSS-Army
    • A solid background in automated data systems and data reporting.
    • Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork.
    • Prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent computer, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.
    • Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and USG Army Information Systems (AIS).
    • Utilize Maximo and GCSS Army systems to process orders efficiently within day to day operations.
    • Requires excellent organizational skills; with the ability to work under fast paced and adverse conditions.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
    • The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
    • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard about ambient noise level.
    • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
    • The worker is subject to vibration. Exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
