Job description


You will be the Electrical Engineering Technology Manager for the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) organization. Our team develops cutting edge focal plane sensors for missile and aerospace applications, delivering high performance digital, analog and power solutions to U.S. and allied customers.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineering Technology Manager you will provide functional and technology leadership for a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team, overseeing recruitment, career development and performance while acting as the senior subject matter expert for digital, analog and power design. You will drive technical excellence, affordability and program execution by enforcing Engineering Practice Manual (EPM) and Design Assurance standards, supporting program planning and mentoring engineers to deliver cutting edge sensor solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing functional management for the electrical engineering team: recruitment, career development, performance assessments, salary planning and employee recognition.
• Serving as the senior technical authority and subject matter expert for electrical design across digital, analog and power domains.
• Driving technical excellence, affordability and program execution by enforcing Engineering Practice Manual (EPM) and Design Assurance standards, guiding Design Assurance plans and ensuring rigorous engineering processes.
• Supporting program development, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) planning and Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation.
• Leading and mentoring engineers, fostering continuous skill growth and a customer focused delivery mindset.
• Overseeing design assurance activities, reviewing technical data, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinating with cross functional teams (systems, software, test, manufacturing) to integrate electrical designs into sensor systems.
• Managing technical risk, conducting trade studies and promoting cost effective solutions.
• Contributing as an individual contributor on high impact technical tasks while providing overall functional leadership.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior or managerial role
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in defense or aerospace programs
• Expertise in electronic design (digital, analog, power) and electronic hardware development from electronic packages, circuit cards, discrete wire harnesses, and flex circuits to full electronic systems with Gb/s I/O.
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
Desired skills
• Experience with MFC's hardware design tool of choice, Siemens Expedition
• Deep knowledge of MFC's Design Assurance process for Circuit Card Development
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DFMECA, and reliability centered design methodologies
• Strong project management skills (IMS/BOE development, schedule tracking)
• Effective coaching/mentoring ability and excellent interpersonal communication
• Exposure to integrated product team (IPT) environments and systems engineering processes
• Experience with infrared sensors and systems
• Experience in high-speed electrical simulation of electronic packages and interconnections
• Experience in PTC WindChill PLM and Atlassian Jira
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD acquisition processes

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
