Job description

Pick up the phone. Win the screen. Grow the business.

Are you a sharp, persuasive seller who can build real relationships over a phone, a screen, and a well-crafted email? BGD Promo is hiring a Foodservice Sales Representative to grow our presence across the East Coast - selling into the foodservice industry through our distributor partners, primarily via virtual selling with smart, targeted travel.

To be clear on the role: you are not a distributor. You're the salesperson who drives our products into foodservice operators through the distribution channel - building relationships with foodservice distributors and their sales reps (DSRs), and creating pull-through demand with the operators they serve.

Who we are

BGD Promo is a Confluent Holdings company serving foodservice operators - restaurants, schools, healthcare, and hospitality -Foodservice distributors are our route to market; you're how we keep them engaged, equipped, and selling our line every day.

What you'll do

  • Own the distributor channel in your territory. Build trust with foodservice distributor buyers, sales managers, and DSRs through consistent, high-quality phone and video engagement.
  • Drive pull-through demand. Work with foodservice operators to create demand that our distributor partners fulfill.
  • Train and enable DSRs. Deliver virtual training that equips distributor sales teams to confidently sell our line.
  • Develop new business. Prospect, qualify, and close new placements and accounts through outbound calls, video meetings, and digital outreach.
  • Build the plan. Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans that hit volume, revenue, and margin goals.
  • Read the market. Track competitor moves, pricing shifts, and industry trends, and feed that intel back to leadership.
  • Keep a clean pipeline. Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and report against KPIs.
  • Travel with purpose. Roughly 10–20% travel for trade shows, key distributor visits, and high-impact meetings.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of sales experience in foodservice - as a manufacturer's rep, food broker, or supplier selling through foodservice distributors (e.g., Sysco, US Foods, PFG) - inside or virtual sales experience strongly preferred
  • A track record of building relationships across procurement, sales, and operations without always being in the room
  • Confidence and polish on camera - you can run a demo, a pitch, or a training over Zoom/Teams as effectively as in person
  • Experience managing annual sales plans, distributor program reviews, and KPI-driven performance tracking
  • Strong CRM discipline (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication - quick and sharp on email and phone
  • Self-direction and time management - you can run a productive day from a desk
  • Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (equivalent experience welcome)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to reliably commute to (or relocate to) our Baltimore, MD office

Schedule & location

  • Open to candidates based in Maryland only - you must be able to commute to the Baltimore office.
  • Full-time. Home office at our Baltimore, MD location, with the majority of selling conducted virtually (phone, video, email, and CRM).
  • Travel less than ~20% for trade shows, key distributor visits, and high-priority customer meetings.
  • Schedule flexibility is required for occasional events and customer needs outside standard hours.
  • PPE (safety glasses and closed-toe shoes at minimum) is required during plant or warehouse visits.

Why you'll like it here

At Confluent Holdings, our North Star is to enable others - our team, our customers, our vendors, and our communities - to be their best every day. We value integrity, clear communication, and the entrepreneurial drive to make things better. We're "one team committed to our customers," and we mean it. You won't be a number here. You'll be a name.
