Job description

Client is seeking a full time Fleet Maintenance Manager in Odessa, TX.

Job Summary:

The Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the maintenance and repair operations of the fleet including heavy & light duty vehicles. This position is responsible for ensuring the vehicles and equipment are in optimal working condition, reducing downtime, and maximizing the lifespan of assets. This leadership role will also be pivotal in the productivity review and analysis of our maintenance workforce as well as team performance and development.

We're seeking someone who resides within 40 miles of Odessa, TX.

Salary is DOE and ranges between $100K- $150K plus full benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor for a large fleet of vehicles or multiple site locations requiring knowledge and application of OSHA Haz Com; OSHA Lock Out Tag Out; and OSHA Fire Protection regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of engine, emission systems, transmission, brake, hydraulic and electrical systems of heavy equipment and vehicles used by Company to ensure ability to perform advanced preventive and repair maintenance functions.
  • Ability to anticipate business needs and plan accordingly to ensure that equipment, employees and fiscal resources are utilized in the most efficient manner.
  • In-depth knowledge of trucking operations, industry regulations and best practices.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.
