Overview

Are you a seasoned engineering leader ready to drive mission-critical technology programs supporting national security objectives? We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead high-performing teams responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and sustaining large-scale enterprise IT environments.

** This position is contingent upon contract award ** 

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and technical direction for enterprise-wide and large-scale information systems programs.
  • Lead, manage, and develop teams of network, systems, cybersecurity, software, and infrastructure engineers.
  • Establish engineering objectives, priorities, standards, and performance expectations aligned with program and organizational goals.
  • Oversee the architecture, design, implementation, integration, modernization, and sustainment of complex IT systems and networks.
  • Ensure engineering solutions comply with applicable cybersecurity, information assurance, and government security requirements.
  • Direct engineering resources, staffing plans, project assignments, and workload balancing across multiple initiatives.
  • Evaluate and approve technical approaches, engineering designs, implementation plans, and system architecture decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts among engineering teams, program management, cybersecurity personnel, contractors, and government stakeholders.
  • Monitor project execution, technical performance, schedules, budgets, risks, and resource utilization.
  • Identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational challenges impacting program success.
  • Lead engineering reviews, technical assessments, design evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide executive-level briefings, technical recommendations, and strategic guidance to internal leadership and government customers.
  • Support proposal development, technical solutioning, business growth, and transition planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contractual obligations, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision-making authority on matters affecting engineering operations, technical performance, staffing, and program outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in IT Operations utilizing IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices within a Federal Government environment, preferably within the Department of Defense.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in a senior IT management role supporting Federal Government or DoD customers.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical operations teams supporting enterprise-scale environments.
  • Current DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification required.
  • Active TS clearance. 
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

 

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and systems engineering principles.
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Ability to provide technical oversight across multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of information assurance and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
