Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Embryologist II to join our team at Reproductive Science Center of the Bay Area in Menlo Park, California and as needed in San Ramon, California.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Compensation: $100,000 to $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Embryologist IIwill:
  • Identify, assess, and culture oocytes
  • Prepare sperm and perform oocyte insemination
  • Assess and select embryos for transfer
  • Perform oocyte and embryo vitrification, storage, warming, and thawing
  • Prepare all laboratory media used with human gametes
  • Perform diagnostic semen analyses
  • Prepare and care for gametes and embryos throughout IVF, ICSI, vitrification, embryo transfer, thawing, and PGT procedures
  • Assess fertilization and zygote quality following insemination
  • Perform oocyte denudation and ICSI insemination
  • Perform embryo biopsies for preimplantation genetic testing
  • Assist with TBSA, PESA, TESA, and TESE collections
  • Accurately document procedures and results in ARTworks
  • Manage embryo storage, transfer, and discharge
  • Track donor sperm and embryos in accordance with FDA regulations
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records while following established quality and safety standards

Qualifications and Skills Include:
  • Must have appropriate college degree in Biology or relevant laboratory science
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of Embryology Experience preferred
  • Must have ICSI and embryo biopsy experience
  • Must demonstrate the ability to function effectively without direct supervision, and to perform laboratory services in accord with the Laboratory Philosophy and Operating Standards
  • Proven ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Knowledge of office procedures and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.)
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a high standard, stressful environment
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
