These abilities are critical for optimizing patient outcomes, maintaining lab standards, and supporting successful assisted reproductive procedures.

What is clinical embryology?

Clinical embryology is a specialized field within reproductive medicine that focuses on the study and manipulation of human embryos, primarily in the context of assisted reproductive technologies (ART) like in vitro fertilization (IVF). Clinical embryologists handle and care for eggs, sperm, and embryos in the lab, performing tasks such as fertilization, embryo culture, and genetic screening. They play a crucial role in helping couples overcome infertility and achieve successful pregnancies. The work involves both technical laboratory skills and a deep understanding of human reproductive biology.
