Job Description
The Supply/Demand Planning Manager position reports to the Enterprise Planning Mgr. The Supply/Demand Planning Manager will lead the supply/demand planning process strategy and own process standards. They will be responsible for assuring supply across Quest Business units to maintain KPI standards, product availability, cost control & planning capabilities, ensuring alignment amongst all partners including but not limited to Commercial, Franchise, Laboratory Operations, Finance and Supply Chain organization. They will oversee a team of planners and be responsible for the execution of the supply plan. This position will interact with all the functions involved to ensure customer satisfaction and end-to-end supply chain planning. They will lead the implementation and execution of industry Supply/Demand Planning best practices, ensuring process standardization and overall maturity progression over time, collaborating with key partners, from executive leaders to planners.
This professional will work in a Hybrid capacity with 1-3 days a week onsite. Occasional travel to our Clifton, NJ lab will be required. This candidate can also be based out of one of our following sites:

Responsibilities
  • Establish best practices and maintain process documentation/task flows.
  • Define and implement process improvements in Supply/Demand Planning; accountable for ongoing improvements in fill rate / in stock, freight cost optimization, inventory optimization, partner with demand planning, commercial organization and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Accountable for team and processes that impact fill rate, transportation costs, inventory days on hand, item setup, transitions, and other duties as assigned.
  • Integrate backlog, statistical forecasting, promotions, portfolio management, market intelligence, industry trends and other demand into a supply plan.
  • Develop conclusions and make recommendations about supply plan opportunities and risks, to improve business performance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize the CPFR process and planning strategies
  • This position will interact with all the involved functions to ensure customer satisfaction and end-to-end supply chain planning. They will lead the implementation and execution of industry Supply/Demand Planning best practices, ensuring process standardization and overall maturity progression over time, collaborating with key partners, from executive leaders to planners.
  • Process orchestration and governance: design, standardize and sustain demand-planning processes, meeting cadence and RACI clarity.

Qualifications
  • 2 years of supervisory and planning experience required
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing/supply chain management or operations management
  • Strong understanding about demand planning, supply and inventory planning, portfolio planning and integrated planning concepts, principles and processes
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Evaluate scenarios with attention to detail with end-to-end supply chain impact in mind.
  • The ability to understand and present data in a meaningful way to varying stakeholders.
