The Demand Planning Manager will predict future sales needs as accurately as possible. Leading the demand planning process for assigned retail and distributor partners across the United States. The Demand Planning Manager will partner closely with our sales teams that will help the sales team achieve their sales targets through providing monthly demand reviews, analyzing SKU and product demands, and developing accurate forecasts through analyzing industry trends, historical data, consumption patterns, and competitor activities, the Demand Planning Manager will predict future retail customer and distributor needs as accurately as possible for HARIBO of America.

Located on-site at the HARIBO of America corporate office in Rosemont, Illinois, the Demand Planning Manager is an individual contributor manager level role will provide demand planning forecasts that will help the sales team achieve their sales targets โ€“ this is not supply planning and this is not inventory planning โ€“ those are different functions in different departments. Demand Planning will predict trends, understanding key growth drivers, evaluating proposed sales activities, identifying gaps and opportunities in the sales and create accurate demand forecasts.

The ideal candidate is experience in demand planning and demand forecasting working directly for a brand in the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Are you HARIBO?

Responsibilities
  • Lead the demand planning process for assigned retail and distributor partners across the United States
  • Predict future customer (retailer) needs as accurately as possible. This is not a supply planning or inventory planning role and this role will not be involved in supply planning or inventory planning. This Demand Planning role deals with market changes and figures out what the market wants
  • Provide accurate demand forecasts, continuously fine tune forecasts
  • Work with Sales Managers and Brand Managers to asses trends, promotions, activities, and activities that impact sales volume for assigned subset of HARIBOโ€™s retail and distributor partners
  • Work with Sales Managers to identify and close gaps
  • Providing monthly demand reviews, analyzing SKU and product demands, and develop accurate sales demand forecasts through analyzing industry trends, historical data, consumption patterns, and competitor activities, to predict future retail customer and distributor needs as accurately as possible
  • Create, combine, and manage complex data sets (e: SAP, IBP) into financial reporting structures that drive root cause analysis of retail customer and distributor performance
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of demand planning & demand forecasting experience, specifically experience in the CPG / Consumer Packaged Goods industry
  • 5+ years of total work experience in demand planning or related roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • Prior experience using an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or other ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP โ€“ IBP experience
  • Experience in food manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of the S & OP process
  • Experience in demand planning working directly for the brand / manufacturer (as opposed to working for a distributor that does not make the product)
  • Experience presenting to and making recommendations to senior level leaders
  • Experience working with Sales Managers to identify and close gaps
Skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources
  • Ability to leverage analytics and insights to generate meaningful solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and present to senior leaders
Compensation and Benefits

Target Hiring Pay Range: $115,000 - $130,000 annually

This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidateโ€™s offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.
