Job description

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Cybersecurity market. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual with a strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and a proven track record of driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities in the Department of War (DoW), U.S. Air Force (USAF) Cyber and U.S. Space Force USSF.
  • Research and analyze target markets and industries to identify key decision-makers and business needs.
  • Develop and maintain a robust Opportunity pipeline.

Relationship Building and Sales:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing government clients.
  • Develop and Conduct presentations and demonstrations of our solutions and services.
  • Research and understand clients’ needs and tailor solutions to address their specific security challenges.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Stay up to date on the latest cyber trends, technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Provide feedback to the Technical Solutions Team on market needs and customer requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the business development, capture management, marketing, and technical solution teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network; generate leads; and engage with government clients.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in DOW, USAF, or USSF or other relevant Federal Government cybersecurity organizations.
  • Experience in developing and executing business strategies to achieve successful, quality growth.
  • Knowledge of DoD government acquisitions, contracts, and proposal processes.
  • Experience in finding Federal/Government opportunities through federal procurement systems and other federal government market intelligence sources
  • Travel is required per business need.

Clearance: TS/SCI clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

· The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in securing DOW contracts and an in-depth understanding of the federal acquisition process, from requirements development to contract execution

  • Master’s degree or equivalent military or work experience in cyber or a related field.
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences in government and civilian settings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; and experience with CRM applications.
  • “Self-starter” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit with high energy, strong interpersonal and analytic skills.
