Job Summary:ย 
Management Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Cybersecurity Business Analyst to support delivery of mission-critical services within aย federal IT environment.ย 

This role focuses on cybersecurity data analysis, performance tracking, and reporting, supporting the development and delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and standardized reports for client leadership. The Mid-Level Cybersecurity Business Analyst will work closely with senior analysts, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensureย accurateย data collection, analysis, and reporting of cybersecurity posture and operational effectiveness.ย 

The position requires strong analytical skills, experience in IT or cybersecurity environments, and the ability to translate technical data into clear, actionable insights.ย 
ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย 

KPI Tracking & Performance Analysisย 

  • Support the establishment, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cybersecurity posture and operational effectiveness.ย ย 

  • Analyze KPIs such as vulnerability remediation rates, system compliance with security baselines, security tool coverage, and mean time to detect and respond to security incidents.ย ย 

  • Identifyย trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, andย provideย data-driven insights to support decision-making.ย ย 

Reporting & Data Analysisย 

  • Develop andย maintainย standardized cybersecurity reports for client leadership on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis, asย required.ย ย 

  • Contribute to reports that include executive summaries, progress against planned activities, risk and issue logs, current security posture, and key metrics.ย ย 

  • Ensureย all reporting isย accurate,ย timely, and aligned with program requirements.ย ย 

Security Briefing Supportย 

  • Support preparation of security briefings for client leadership and stakeholders, including gathering data, developing content, and creating presentation materials.ย ย 

  • Assistย in summarizing threatย landscape, emerging vulnerabilities, security posture, andย significant eventsย or trends.ย ย 

Data Integration & Collaborationย 

  • Collaborate with senior business analysts, cybersecurity teams, and project controllers to gather,ย validate, and interpret data from multiple sources.ย ย 

  • Ensure consistency and alignment of data used for reporting and analysis across systems and teams.ย ย 

  • Support integration of cybersecurity data into centralized reporting tools and dashboards.ย ย 

Governance & Continuous Improvementย 

  • Support development and refinement of reporting processes, templates, and data standards.ย ย 

  • Identifyย opportunities to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and workflow efficiency.ย ย 

  • Ensure alignment of reporting activities with client strategic objectives.ย 

Required Qualifications:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related discipline), or equivalent combination of education and experience.ย ย 

  • 3โ€“6 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, data analysis, cybersecurity analysis, or related roles.ย ย 

  • Experience working with data sets, including data validation, transformation, and analysis.ย ย 

  • Experience supporting KPI tracking, reporting, or performance analysis in IT or cybersecurity environments.ย ย 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data andย provideย actionable insights.ย ย 

  • Experience using data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms).ย ย 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.ย ย 

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical and program management staff.ย ย 

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity.ย ย 

  • Ability to obtain andย maintainย aย Q clearance.ย ย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • Experience supportingย federal agencies.ย ย 

  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).ย ย 

  • Experience supportingย ITย or cybersecurity operations programs.ย ย 

  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment.ย 

  • Possessing an active Q, L,ย orย Top Secretย clearance is strongly preferred.ย 

Work Authorization:ย U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract and/or security clearance requirements.ย 

Working Conditions: This position is primarily performed in an office environmentย orย a home office setting. Employees willย be requiredย to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods andย operateย a computer and standard office equipment.ย
