Job Summary
Well established organization is looking for a Construction Accountant for their property management division of this nonprofit organization. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working closely with project teams, lenders, investors, and leadership to support accurate construction accounting, project financial reporting, and development-related accounting activities.
The Construction Accountant will play a key role in managing project draws, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, loan tracking, financial analysis, audit support, and month-end and year-end close processes. This is a strong opportunity to join a stable, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, meaningful project work, and excellent employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage predevelopment and construction accounting activities, including project draws, cost tracking, reconciliations, and related reporting.
- Prepare monthly draw packages and review project reporting for investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to construction and development projects.
- Track loans, funding activity, project costs, and related financial data to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Assist with project audits, company audits, month-end close, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial analysis and reporting to support leadership, accounting, and project management decision-making.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $105,000 per year.
- Direct hire, full-time permanent opportunity.
