Our Murrieta, CA office is looking for a highly educated and capable person to join our finance team as a full- or part-time Experienced Construction Office Accountant. You'll complete fulfilling work and drive a small business's growth while making $20.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience). If that sounds good to you, keep reading to learn more!

THE EXPERIENCED CONSTRUCTION OFFICE ACCOUNTANT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Can you meet these qualifications?

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Construction accounting experience (preferably in residential remodeling)
  • Hands-on experience with job costing, budget reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Experience with work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and cost forecasting
  • Experience in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Experience using construction management software (preferably Buildertrend)
  • Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
  • Strong understanding of construction financial controls and cash flow management
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Familiarity with contract billing, progress billing, and retention
