Clinical Pathologist

We are seeking an experienced board-certified Clinical Pathologist to join our thriving private practice serving Maine Medical Center. Excellent benefit package, including generous vacation time. The successful candidate will be integrated into a team of 25 AP/CP pathologists and 2 full-time Clinical Pathologists covering 14 hospitals. The position is based out of Maine Medical Center, Portland, the flagship Level 1 Trauma Center hospital located in Portland, ME. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communications skills and would be an experienced physicianwith strong general Clinical Pathology Experience, who is comfortable working closely with the many different clinical teams (Cardiac Surgery, Heme/Onc, OB/Gyn, Trauma, etc...). Focused experience in Clinical Chemistry, Point of Care Testing, Lab Management/Operations and Transfusion Medicine (including Massive Transfusion Protocol management).
  • Highly motivated and engaged to work and communicate routinely and collaboratively with many different clinical teams.
  • Experience in Clinical Chemistry.
  • Experience in Point of Care Testing.
  • Experience in Blood Banking / Transfusion Medicine and Massive Transfusion Protocols.
