About This Role

Master's Garden Preschool in Hillsborough is seeking a full-time childcare assistant teacher to support lead teachers and the Master's Garden director in creating a nurturing environment for young children. Candidates must be committed Christians with discretion and respect. Responsibilities include aiding classroom activities, ensuring safety, and enhancing the learning program. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certification, and preferably Early Childhood Credentials. Key skills include knowledge of early childhood development, safety practices, and strong communication. Flexibility and teamwork are essential. Master's Garden Preschool offers a 50% tuition discount for employees with a preschooler attending the preschool. The pay rate is $13.50-18.00, depending on education & experience.


What You'll Do
  • Ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe environment by assisting with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and naptime.
  • Provide close supervision to guarantee children's safety at all times, particularly during playtime, outdoor activities, and transitions.
  • Engage children in simple, interactive activities that stimulate curiosity, motor skills, and language development suitable for infants and toddlers.
  • Offer a gentle, nurturing presence to provide comfort, build trust, and help each child feel valued and secure.
  • Take on a special role in caring for specific children, fostering their development in a Christ-centered atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities, routines, and developmental milestones for classroom tracking and parent updates.
  • Clean and organize the classroom environment, preparing resources as needed.
  • Work closely with the lead teacher to implement the curriculum and follow established classroom routines and practices.

  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent

  • Collaborate with the team to create a solution-driven, transparent, and fun atmosphere.
  • Have a genuine interest in early childhood development and in providing creative and stimulating learning experiences for young learners.
  • Understand and practice safety and sanitation measures to ensure a healthy environment for all.
  • Communicate effectively and with care, using tact, patience, and kindness in all interactions.
  • Have CPR/First Aid certification

  • Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid training, and IT-SIDS 2 hour training, as well as hold Early Childhood Credentials, with opportunities for growth provided.
