Job Summary:
Trihydro is seeking an experienced, mid-to-senior-level professional to expand our Underground Injection Control (UIC)/Carbon Management (CM) Team. We are actively involved in multiple carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) and UIC projects across the United States. Our ideal candidate will be an engineering, geologic, and/or UIC subject matter expert. They will assist with the technical work within the UIC/CM Team, but just as importantly play a role in shaping the future growth and development of this team.
This full-time position requires approximately 40 hours per week and involves a blend of project management, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. This is an office-based position in Lakewood, Colorado; Laramie, Wyoming; or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing projects and technical support for: Class I, II, and VI UIC well design, permitting, monitoring, and drilling oversight projects.
  • Assisting with business development activities and continuing to grow the UIC/CM Team.
  • Leveraging your professional network to build connections and bring in new work.
  • Presenting at conferences, writing papers, and contributing to the marketing efforts of the team.
  • Managing project staff and subcontractors, assigning resources as necessary to complete project tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinating with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Managing and interpreting environmental and geologic data.
  • Travelling to various field and office locations across the U.S.

Qualifications:
  • A BS in engineering or geology (MS desirable but not required).
  • 5-10+ years of relevant CCS/UIC and/or oil and gas experience.
  • Industry employment history as a project manager with responsibility for managing contractors, communicating directly with clients and regulatory agency staff, preparing cost estimates, and tracking budgets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, project stakeholders, regulators/agency staff, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members.
  • Initiative and motivation to complete project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Experienced client manager with initiative to cultivate long-standing client relationships.
  • An interest in mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices.

Performance Metrics:
CCS Professional will be evaluated on the following key performance areas during their first year:
1. Technical Contribution and Quality
  • Independently performs standard to moderately complex technical work within their discipline.
  • Prepares technical deliverables (e.g., designs, analyses, assessments, plans, reports) that meet quality, accuracy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Applies established standards, procedures, and guidance to technical work.
  • Seeks guidance on complex or unfamiliar technical issues as appropriate.

2. Project Support and Coordination
  • Supports project execution by completing assigned technical tasks within defined scope and schedule.
  • Coordinates with project managers and team members to support project objectives.
  • Identifies technical questions, constraints, or potential issues and communicates them to project leadership.
  • Supports implementation of scope changes and problem-solving efforts as directed.

3. Client and Stakeholder Interaction
  • Participates in client, agency, or stakeholder interactions as appropriate for the role.
  • Communicates technical information clearly and professionally under guidance from senior staff.
  • Represents the organization professionally in project-related interactions.

4. Collaboration and Skill Development
  • Collaborates effectively with project teams and supports a positive team environment.
  • Incorporates feedback from senior staff to improve technical work and professional effectiveness.
  • Shares knowledge and supports team learning as experience develops.

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $90,000- $150,000
