Today, PNB operates two branches in Kewanee, IL, along with additional branches in Annawan, Bradford, Dwight, Manlius, Reynolds, Sheffield, Seneca, and Tampico, IL. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Bank Teller to join our team at our Kewanee location.

What Will a Bank Teller Do?

The Bank Teller serves as the first point of contact for many of our customers and plays a critical role in delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurately processing customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers
  • Balancing a cash drawer daily with accuracy and efficiency
  • Identifying customer needs and providing information on bank products and services, with appropriate referrals to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), lenders, or other banking professionals
  • Providing outstanding customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally
  • Learning, understanding, and following all retail banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of customer and bank information
  • Assisting with assignments or projects as needed to ensure adequate staffing and smooth branch operations, including possible travel to other branch locations
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Experience, Education, and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous banking experience preferred
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Retail or sales experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to successfully complete any required background checks or regulatory screenings
