To thrive as a Full Stack Software Developer, you need proficiency in both front-end and back-end programming languages (such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python, or Java) and a solid understanding of software development principles, often supported by a degree in computer science or equivalent experience. Familiarity with frameworks like React or Angular, server-side technologies like Node.js or Django, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud platforms is highly valued, along with relevant certifications. Strong problem-solving, effective communication, and collaboration skills help you stand out in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic environments. These capabilities are essential for building robust, scalable applications and ensuring smooth project delivery across the software development lifecycle.

How does a Full Stack Software Developer typically collaborate with designers and other team members during a project?

Full Stack Software Developers often work closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers throughout the development process. They participate in planning sessions to understand design requirements, provide technical feedback, and help translate user interface mockups into functional features. Job description

Full-Stack Software Engineer - React, Node.js, AWS
Location: On-site - Laguna Hills, CA
Type: Full-Time

Build software that matters

Recall Masters is a B2B SaaS company serving the automotive industry. We build software that helps dealers and OEMs improve recall outreach, customer engagement, and operational execution at scale.

We are hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build and improve the core applications that power our platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably across front-end and back-end development, turn product ideas into production-ready features, and thrive in a fast-moving environment where useful software beats theoretical perfection.

If you like building practical systems, working closely with product and design, and owning real outcomes, this role will fit you well.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain full-stack features using React and Node.js
  • Turn Figma designs into polished, responsive, production-ready user experiences
  • Develop and enhance APIs, business logic, and application services
  • Work with Amazon Aurora RDS and related data models to support performance, scale, and reliability
  • Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering leadership to define and ship useful features
  • Improve application quality, maintainability, and performance across the stack
  • Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and team development workflows using GitHub
  • Support build and deployment workflows using CircleCI
  • Help ensure software quality through testable design and collaboration around Selenium-based automation
  • Contribute to containerized workflows using Docker, where appropriate

What we're looking for

  • Strong experience building production applications with React
  • Strong experience with Node.js and back-end application development
  • Experience working with Amazon Aurora RDS or similar relational databases in AWS
  • Solid understanding of modern web architecture, API integration, and full-stack application design
  • Experience using GitHub in a team-based software environment
  • Experience with CircleCI or comparable CI/CD workflows
  • Experience supporting testing and QA workflows, including Selenium
  • Ability to work from Figma and collaborate effectively with design and product stakeholders
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and software craftsmanship instincts
  • Clear communication and a practical, ownership-minded approach

Strong pluses

  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments
  • Experience in AWS-based production environments
  • Experience in SaaS, workflow software, or data-intensive applications
  • Comfort working on a small, focused team where people are expected to contribute, not hide

What success looks like

In your first few months, we expect you to:

  • Ship a meaningful production feature
  • Improve an existing workflow across front-end and back-end systems
  • Strengthen at least one area of application performance, usability, or reliability
  • Become a trusted contributor to the team's delivery rhythm and code quality

Why Recall Masters

  • Real product work with real business impact
  • Tight-knit team with direct access to decision-makers
  • Opportunity to help shape a growing platform
  • Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), life insurance, EAP, and wellness support
  • Dog-friendly office, snacks, drinks, and a team environment that actually feels like one
