An FSA Specialist is a professional who manages and administers Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for employees within an organization. They help employees understand how FSAs work, process claims, ensure compliance with IRS regulations, and provide guidance on eligible expenses. FSA Specialists also work closely with HR and benefits teams to facilitate enrollment and answer questions about FSA plans. Their role ensures that employees can maximize the benefits of their FSA and that the organization remains compliant with federal guidelines.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an FSA Specialist?

To excel as an FSA Specialist, you need strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of federal farm program regulations, typically supported by a degree in agriculture, business, or a related field.
