The Courtesy Clerkโ€™s (Baggerโ€™s) responsibilities include bagging customersโ€™ groceries, returning carts to their designated areas, cleaning and maintaining the storeโ€™s premises, and providing exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • A Courtesy Clerk (Bagger) will bag customerโ€™s purchases promptly and efficiently. Upon request, transport these purchases to their automobile and place safely in their automobile.
  • Keep parking lot clear of carts by returning them to the proper location in-store. Follow all safety policies regarding cart retrieval. Remove clutter from carts and wipe down kids-carts before putting them away.
  • A Courtesy Clerk (Bagger) will fill all bag slots and supplies necessary for efficient front-end operations.
  • Assist with price checks and go-backs.
  • A Courtesy Clerk (Bagger) will assist with general housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Supports the team by taking on additional tasks or responsibilities as requested.

Position Requirements

MINIMUM AGE: 16 Years

  • Please note:ย weekend shifts are required (holidays as applicable)

Physical/Sensory Demands

Work is performed in a retail store environment with the possibility of exposure to hot or cold conditions. While performing the duties of this job, team members are regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion, eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. This job requires standing, walking and bending frequently, and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
