Job description

DESCRIPTION
Lead From the Front.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Mall of America is looking for a hands-on Front Office Manager who enjoys being part of the operation-not managing it from behind a desk.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Front Desk Supervisor, Front Office Manager, or hospitality leader who loves working with guests, developing associates, solving problems, and creating a Front Office team that people want to be part of.
Our Front Office Manager regularly works scheduled Front Desk shifts while also providing leadership, coaching, scheduling, training, and administrative support.
You'll also partner with our Breakfast team to help ensure our complimentary breakfast operation is staffed, organized, welcoming, and delivering the experience our guests expect.
What You'll Do
Lead the Front Office
  • Work scheduled Front Desk shifts as part of your regular workweek based on business and staffing needs.
  • Lead Front Office associates through visible, hands-on leadership.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop Front Office team members.
  • Create schedules and help manage departmental labor.
  • Ensure Front Desk procedures and Hilton brand standards are consistently followed.
  • Handle guest concerns and help turn challenging situations into positive experiences.
  • Maintain strong communication and accountability across all Front Office shifts.
  • Help create a team culture where associates feel supported, recognized, and responsible for their performance.

Support Breakfast Operations
Our complimentary breakfast is an important part of the Homewood Suites guest experience.
You'll work closely with the Breakfast team to:
  • Support staffing and scheduling.
  • Help maintain service and presentation standards.
  • Coach and support Breakfast associates.
  • Monitor labor and departmental needs.
  • Step in to support the operation when needed.
  • Help create a welcoming start to our guests' day.

Support the General Manager
You'll work closely with the General Manager and gain exposure to the broader operation of the hotel.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Labor management and scheduling.
  • Guest satisfaction and service recovery.
  • Recruiting and onboarding.
  • Departmental expense management.
  • Operational reporting and follow-up.
  • Hotel safety, security, and brand standards.
  • Supporting hotel operations when the General Manager is unavailable.

This role provides an opportunity to continue developing your hotel leadership skills while remaining closely connected to the guests and associates you lead.
Who We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you:
  • Genuinely enjoy working Front Desk and interacting with guests.
  • Believe managers should be visible and accessible to their teams.
  • Enjoy coaching people and helping associates become better at what they do.
  • Can hold people accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Are organized enough to balance Front Desk shifts with management responsibilities.
  • Stay calm when the hotel gets busy.
  • Notice problems and take ownership of solving them.
  • Are willing to help outside your primary department when the operation needs you.
  • Want to continue growing as a hotel leader.

Preferred Experience
  • 2+ years of hotel or hospitality leadership experience.
  • Front Office or Front Desk leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Hilton experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling and labor management.
  • Strong guest-service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.

Why Join Us?
You'll join a hotel where leadership is expected to be present, involved, and connected to the team.
You'll have the opportunity to take real ownership of the Front Office, develop associates, influence the guest experience, support another important guest-facing department, and work closely with the General Manager while continuing to develop your own leadership skills.
If you're a hospitality leader who would rather lead beside your team than manage from an office, we'd like to meet you.
Lead Today. Learn Tomorrow. Grow Into the Future.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years of hotel or hospitality leadership experience, Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, Excellent interpersonal and written communication, Working knowledge of hotel software systems & Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
