Job description

MAIN FUNCTION: The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant Level 5 position at Griffin Imaging and Diagnostics Center at Ivy Brook will provide a variety of functions including registration, front end office operations, manage outpatient schedules and precerts, copay collection, perform phlebotomy as well as EKG and provide clinical assistance in the Center to the technical and Physician staff. This staff member will support daily operations to the MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, EKG and the Lab areas within the Ivy Brook  Imaging Center.

EDUCATION: High school graduate.  Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience preferred. CPR certification required.

EXPERIENCE:
Medical Office Experience Required
Medical Terminology required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
Copay collection experience required
1-3 years Phlebotomy experience required

Phlebotomy certification preferred
EKG experience preferred
Ability to function under pressure of time demands
Position requires eye-hand and gross body coordination skills;
Extensive walking expected 

Position requires the ability to concentrate on details in spite of interruptions and attend to tasks for more than 30 minutes at a time. Individuals must be able to understand and relate theories behind several related concepts and remember multiple tasks given over long periods of time.
