2600- Loader Operator FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: Hourly Reports to: Yard Manager Job Description Summary/objective The Salvage Yard Front End Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically front-end loaders, to move and load materials throughout the yard. The operator will also be responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly segregated and prepared for sale to customers, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Essential functions
  • Operate frontend loaders to move materials throughout the yard
  • Load material onto trucks, trailers, etc. as needed
  • Ensure that all materials are properly segregated and prepared for sale to customers
  • Assist in maintain accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
