SUMMARY
The Ewing Yard Loader Operator provides support to the Yard Manager in yard duties. A Yard Loader Operator is responsible for loading trucks with rocks, materials, pavers, etc. They help ensure the yard is kept clean, organized, safe, and replenished alongside the Yard Laborer (if applicable to location). A Yard Loader Operator will support the Yard Manager's and company's goals.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTIBILITIES
Yard Loader Operators are expected to support Yard Managers by performing the tasks and activities required for successful yard operations, as well as providing customer support. Additional requirements include completion of tasks and activities assigned in support of annual plans established by the Yard, its Region and Division.
The job performance of a Yard Loader Operator will be evaluated based upon their effectiveness in executing the duties and responsibilities listed below.
Requirements
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
  • Valid professional driver's license
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good driving record with no traffic violation
  • Ability to operate loaders and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate)
  • Proven work experience as a Yard Customer Service Associate, Landscape Materials Associate, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of landscape yard inventory stocking procedures
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination a plus
