Associated Staffing is the exclusive staffing partner for this employer in Kearney, NE and is currently seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals for a Freight Loader II position on 2nd shift. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers competitive starting pay, scheduled wage increases, excellent benefits upon hire, and opportunities for advancement. If you have a Class A CDL, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic, this could be the right role for you. As a Freight Loader II, you will be responsible for building pallets, preparing orders for shipment, loading and unloading trailers and containers, and ensuring shipping accuracy through scanning systems and documentation. Key Responsibilities
  • Build and palletize customer orders to meet customer and department standards
  • Coordinate pallet-building activities with zone pickers to ensure safe and efficient order completion
  • Utilize scanning equipment to verify order accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and complete shipping paperwork including packing lists, ship-to labels, and special labeling
  • Load and unload export containers manually or using material handling equipment
  • Load finished pallets into stretch wrap machines using electric pallet jacks or lift trucks
  • Load wrapped pallets into trailers for shipment
  • Complete manual shipping manifests and forward documentation for billing and final processing
  • Operate equipment such as lift trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, RF scanners, trailer jacks, and radios
  • Inspect product cases to ensure damaged or defective items are not shipped
  • Assist with order picking, inventory counts, auditing, and warehouse housekeeping as needed
  • Perform minor repairs to damaged containers, pallets, or packaging materials when required
  • Meet established unit production, quality, and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Requirements
  • Class A CDL required
  • Ability to lift and transport materials weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate powered industrial equipment
  • Ability to climb ladders as required
  • Warehouse, shipping, or freight loading experience preferred
  • Strong attention to safety, quality, and accuracy
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
