Job description

Front End Loader Operator Heavy Civil Industry

We are seeking a skilled Front End Loader Operator to join our team in the heavy civil construction industry. This role is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move, load, and transport materials on infrastructure and large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Operate front end loader to move materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and debris on heavy civil job sites
  • Load trucks, hoppers, and conveyors efficiently and accurately
  • Support site development, roadwork, utility, and grading operations
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks before and after use
  • Monitor material quantities and ensure proper stockpiling procedures
  • Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors
  • Adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards at all times
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers, and other crew members
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating a front end loader in a heavy civil or construction environment
  • Familiarity with earthwork, grading, and site development operations preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans and grade stakes
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required
