The MD Receptionist plays a vital role in managing front desk operations in a medical office, providing excellent customer service while supporting both front and back office activities. This position primarily focuses on patient interaction, appointment coordination, and administrative tasks, with occasional assistance to the physician and back office team members. The role requires working collaboratively within the front office team using standard Electronic Health Records (EHR) software to ensure efficient medical office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations including patient scheduling and check-in
  • Handle incoming phone calls and coordinate appointments accurately
  • Maintain medical records and verify insurance information
  • Provide back office assistance and support to the physician as needed
  • Deliver excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling using electronic systems
  • Work effectively as part of the front office team
