Grecian Delight | Kronos Foods is seeking 2nd Shift Team Lead in our Hummus Department for our Elk Grove Village location. As our Team Lead you will engage and support team members by coordinating the daily activities of the department to ensure efficient production. You will be responsible for monitoring employee safety, team adherence to quality guidelines and standards, and area metrics. 

 

What you are going to be doing…

  • Advocate and work safely and follow all safety rules
  • Work at various positions on an assembly line or other areas within the plant
  • Report any issue found with equipment, materials, and/or finished products, including foreign objects
  • Provide training and guidance to employees in regard to operational tasks
  • Suggest changes in the number of personnel required, depending on production requirements
  • Ensure changeovers are completed timely and efficiently
  • Make observations of quality and productivity and report to management
  • Assemble, set-up, break-down, and inspect all equipment in the assigned area
  • Operate equipment and machines; handles/moves product through the manufacturing process
  • Measure, add, grind, and/or mix ingredients and other raw materials; follow recipes/formulas
  • Responsible for the quality, sanitation, and line performance of each line
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet third party audit requirements as well as other standards prioritized by the company, to include SQF, HACCP, FSMA, USDA, FDA, etc.

 What you need to have…

  • Prior team lead experience in a production environment  
  • Experience in machine changeovers and equipment adjustments
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Understanding of machine operation in manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus

 Work environment and physical requirements…

Manufacturing plant environment with varied temperatures including hot, cold, and freezer.  The work environment includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on high places, and/or exposure to chemicals in work setting. Incumbents are frequently required stand, walk, hear, bend, stoop, climb, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, pull and push unassisted.
