What You'll Do as a Solar Installer

  • Install roof- and ground-mounted solar PV systems on commercial, agricultural, and residential properties.
  • Prepare job sites by assisting with system layout, racking, panel installation, trenching for conduit, and other mechanical work.
  • Perform electrical installation work based on your experience and training, including applying applicable NEC code requirements.
  • Read project drawings, plans, specifications, and installation instructions to complete each project correctly.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other installation equipment safely on the job site.
  • Handle solar panels, materials, tools, and equipment, including loading, unloading, moving, and organizing supplies.
  • Follow company safety procedures and properly use all required PPE, fall-protection equipment, and safety harnesses. Develop your solar skills by participating in company-provided training.
  • Collaborate with your crew and supervisors to complete installations safely, efficiently, and according to Paradise Energy Solutions' quality standards.


Our Ideal Solar Installer

  • Experienced: Bring construction-related experience such as roofing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, landscaping, hardscaping, or farm work; we'll provide on-the-job training based on your skill level.
  • Safety-Conscious: Be comfortable climbing ladders, working on roofs and at heights, using hand tools, lifting up to 75 lbs., and consistently following required safety procedures, while being comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ready to Learn: Bring a desire to build your solar, construction, and electrical knowledge through hands-on, online, and company-provided training.
  • Technically Capable: Basic computer skills are needed, while experience reading project drawings and applying NEC code requirements is a plus.
  • Qualified: An associate degree or trade school certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience, is preferred.
  • Team-Focused: Communicate well, work hard, stay humble, and connect with our values of Faith, Integrity, Innovation, Teamwork, and Stewardship.
