Job Opportunity: Nursing Home Medical Director/Physician
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time Medical Director/Physician to oversee and deliver care at our nonprofit Skilled Nursing Homes situated in the Capital Region of Upstate New York.

Position Overview
This unique role involves collaborating with our nursing home medical team to provide care for our long-term care residents across:
- Seven skilled nursing facilities, offering a mix of long-term care, subacute rehabilitation, and memory care, with two locations utilizing the Green House model.
- Facilities conveniently located within the Capital Region, some just a few miles apart and others within a 20-minute drive.
- A highly cooperative medical team comprising Physicians and Nurse Practitioners, supported by on-site specialists in Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, and Optometry.
- A strong partnership with the Albany College of Pharmacy, recently launching a Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Service.
- Robust leadership backing from the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Quality & Safety, and Vice President for Residential Services, all of whom bring extensive experience and a commitment to our mission of caring for elders and colleagues alike.
- Teaching opportunities available through the Albany Medical College's Geriatric Fellowship Program, aimed at fostering the development of geriatric-trained Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Preferred but not mandatory: Certification in Geriatric Medicine or Hospice & Palliative Care.
- Preferred but not mandatory: Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential.
- A genuine passion for providing care to older adults in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive salary and benefits package, which includes:
- Base compensation starting at $278,000.
- This salary reflects the initial range of total compensation and does not account for productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other applicable cash compensation. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer.
- A signing bonus of $30,000.
