From making sure a favorite sweater is returned clean and fresh to keeping linens ready for our residents and care teams, you'll play an important role in making Friendly Home feel like home.

What You'll Do
As a Laundry Assistant, you'll help ensure that Members' personal clothing and community linens are clean, fresh, organized, and returned where they belong.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collecting and distributing Members' personal laundry throughout the community
  • Washing, drying, ironing, folding, and organizing personal clothing
  • Performing stain and spot removal and labeling clothing when needed
  • Washing, drying, ironing, and distributing linens for resident areas
  • Keeping accurate records of laundry processed and distributed
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area
  • Operating laundry equipment safely and appropriately
  • Assisting with housekeeping duties in assigned areas when needed
  • Helping maintain Member rooms and other areas in a clean and sanitary condition
  • Following established safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
  • Participating in training and safety programs
  • Working as part of a team to support the needs of Members and the community
