The Freight Brokerage Operations Manager must have progressive experience in freight brokerage, transportation management, and supply chain optimization.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Direct and oversee all freight brokerage operations, ensuring seamless execution of shipments and superior service delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics coordinators, carrier reps, and dispatchers to exceed performance targets.
  • Build and maintain strong carrier and customer relationships, negotiating competitive rates and ensuring capacity in volatile markets.
  • Optimize load planning, routing, and carrier procurement using advanced TMS platforms and data‑driven strategies.
  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and internal safety and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze operational KPIs to identify trends, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, finance, and customer service teams to align operational goals with business objectives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
  • 10+ Years of Transportation/Logistics Leadership Experience, including transportation management systems, fleet management, DOT and FMSCA Compliance.
  • Proven ability to scale operations, reduce costs, and increase margins in fast‑paced freight environments.
  • Expertise in TMS optimization, load consolidation, and real‑time freight visibility tools.
  • A track record of building resilient carrier networks and navigating complex logistics challenges with agility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills that foster a culture of accountability and innovation
